The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII WRC is the World Rally Car that Mitsubishi introduced with great confidence. This machine, which was completed using the knowledge from the Group A Lancer, inherited the powerful 4-cylinder turbo engine and electromagnetic triple active differential, making it even more refined. It also underwent modifications such as improved weight distribution and increased suspension stroke. It debuted in the 11th round of the 2001 World Rally Championship (WRC) in Sanremo and fought in the first half of the 2002 season.
