• Story: Mario receives a letter from Princess Peach asking for help with a treasure hunt and arrives in "Gorotsuki Town" only to find that Peach is missing. Seeking clues, Mario visits Professor Frankly, who tells him that a "1000-year door" leads to the treasure and that seven "Star Stones" are needed to open it. Believing that finding the treasure will lead him to Peach, Mario sets off on an adventure with Christine, whom he meets in town, to search for the Star Stones in the world of paper. It seems that not only Mario but also Bowser is searching for Princess Peach...

• Adventure Setting: The adventure takes place in a paper world full of surprises and encounters. There are giant dragons waiting, people suddenly turning into pigs, and incidents on trains. Sometimes, seemingly impassable areas can be overcome by using Mario's paper abilities, such as slipping through narrow gaps or transforming into a paper airplane to fly.

• Companions: Along the way, Mario meets unique characters who assist him in his quest. "Christine" provides information about people, places, and enemies; "Nokotalou" is good at charging into enemies by hiding in Koopa shells; and "Clouda" can blow away nearby objects with strong winds. These companions offer various abilities and personalities to support Mario’s adventure.

• Theatrical Battle System: When Mario encounters enemies on the field, a turn-based command battle takes place on a theatrical stage. Mario can choose from actions such as "Attack," "Item," "Special Move," "Defense," and "Appeal to Audience." Timing button presses with attacks increases damage and engages the audience, enhancing the battle experience.
