In this world, Mario will face various events, including a giant dragon waiting for him, people suddenly turning into pigs, and incidents happening on a train. He may encounter places that seem impossible to progress through, but using his paper-thin body, Mario can slip into narrow gaps and transform into a paper airplane to soar through the sky, carving a path through the adventure.

As he travels, Mario meets a cast of quirky characters. "Christine," who provides information about people, places, and enemies; "Nokatarou," who excels at headbutting while hidden in a shell; and "Crowda," who can create strong winds to blow away nearby objects. These allies join Mario and assist his adventure with their various abilities and unique personalities.
Chaotic Theater Battles!
When Mario bumps into enemies on the field, a turn-based command battle begins on a theatrical stage! Mario can choose from various actions such as "Attack," "Item," "Special Move," "Guard," and "Audience Appeal," depending on the strategy. Timing button presses with attacks increases the damage dealt to enemies, and the audience will also join in to enhance the battle atmosphere.
