Set in the Taisho era, 25 years have passed without the story ending in 15 years. To protect her declining family, a young woman decides to marry an unknown man. However, just then, her brother attempts a mysterious self-immolation while holding an old book. The girl is confronted by the Imperial Library Information Asset Management Bureau, known as "Fukuro," who claim that there are "rare books" that have a significant impact on readers. Additionally, the girl begins to see "Aura" as a result of her brother’s incident. It seems as though fate is dragging her into the flames. Despite her confusion, she chooses to step outside the cage. Jealousy, hatred, contempt, pity, and love—awaiting her is a darkness in the imperial capital filled with betrayals. Will she find the truth or something else?
