Story of Muv-Luv
The protagonist, Takeru Shirogane, is a third-year student at Haku-Ryou High School. He spends an ordinary daily life with his childhood friend and classmate, Junna Akane, who lives next door. One day, Meiya Mitsurugi, the daughter of a global conglomerate, suddenly appears before Takeru and ends up living at his home. Meiya claims that she and Takeru are bound by an absolute destiny. Her arrival triggers a commotion involving classmates like Chizuru Sakaki, Kaori Ayamine, and his best friend, Takato Kawai. Amid the comedic chaos of everyday life, Takeru's actions have a significant impact on those around him, deepening their emotional connections. What kind of conclusion will Takeru reach amidst the changing reality?

Story of Muv-Luv Alternative
On October 22, 2001, Takeru Shirogane, who should have been living peacefully in Japan, suddenly wakes up in an unfamiliar world. This is a parallel world where humanity is on the brink of extinction due to a decades-long war against the extraterrestrial origin species known as "BETA." Japan has become a frontline state where military power is prioritized above all else.

Without understanding the cause of his transfer between worlds, Takeru is tossed about by reality until he eventually accepts his fate. He becomes involved with the United Nations forces' humanitarian rescue plan, fighting alongside those he loves. However, humanity, unable to overcome national interests, ultimately chooses a plan to abandon Earth.

Three years later, Takeru wakes from a deep sleep and realizes he is in his own room, which should have existed in his "original world." Was it all just a dream? As Takeru hopes to return to the "original world," he is relentlessly pursued by harsh realities.
