Despite its thinness and lightness, MOKU absorbs water effectively. Made of 100% cotton and carefully processed in Imabari to remove impurities, it offers significant water absorption. It is easy to wring out, even for women and children, allowing for quick recovery of absorbency. Some minimalists use MOKU alone for trips to public baths or saunas due to its almost limitless wiping capability. The popular M size weighs just 50g! Using yarn 1.5 times finer than usual towels, it is incredibly thin and compact, fitting easily into any bag for versatile use.
The standard size for face towels is about 80cm, but MOKU is set at 100cm, close to the length of a hand towel. This additional 20cm length provides unexpected convenience. While a standard towel of 100cm can lose compactness and quick-drying ability, MOKU's thin fabric and length make it perfectly suited for its intended use.
