Story The protagonist, Koyomi Yamashiro, has just graduated from university and is taking the teacher recruitment exam to become a high school teacher, a dream he has longed for. However, he keeps failing the exams…

Just as he begins to lose hope, he finally receives a letter of acceptance. Excited about his new life as a teacher, he is surprised to find out that the school he has been hired at is located in the 48th prefecture of Japan, "Ouma Prefecture," a training school for immature Yokai (UMA) to help them grow into full-fledged beings.

It turns out that instead of becoming a teacher, he has been hired as a "trainer" for these Yokai.

When he expresses his doubts and wishes to decline the offer, the principal promises that if he completes the year successfully, he will help him get a position at another high school.

With no prior training experience, can the protagonist train these Yokai effectively?

Can he help the immature Yokai grow into accomplished beings?

Thus begins his uncertain life as both a homeroom teacher and a trainer, with hopes of transferring to another high school after a year!
