"100 Heroes" is a new RPG developed under the supervision of Yoshitaka Murayama for the scenario and Junko Kono for character design. It won the "Top Funded" award in the 2020 Game category on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter, leading to its development with support from backers worldwide. In 2022, an action RPG titled "100 Heroes Rising," which serves as a prequel to this title, was released.
The story takes place on the continent of Allraan, which is home to various nations with many different races, values, and cultures. One of these nations, the "Galdia Empire," possesses a powerful military and is searching for the mysterious "Primal Lens." The protagonist, Noah, joins the security forces of the "Federation of Nations" and embarks on a joint search for the lens with a lieutenant from the Empire named Sei Kaysling. Together, they overcome difficulties, learn about each other's feelings, and eventually discover the "Primal Lens," unaware that it will lead to a conflict between the Empire and the Federation. Additionally, a third protagonist, a guardian girl named Melisa who inherits the special techniques to wield the "Magical Lens," also finds herself drawn into this conflict, guided by her beliefs.
Noah, Sei, and Melisa will meet over a hundred unique heroes on the battlefield of Allraan. Each hero has their own past and beliefs, sometimes clashing with each other, but they will come together to fight as comrades.
The battles in "100 Heroes" are turn-based command battles with a maximum formation of six characters. Players can freely choose the members who will participate in combat from the heroes they recruit. Moreover, by combining different heroes, players can unleash various cooperative techniques known as "Hero Combos." Use the unique attacks and skills of the pixel-art heroes to defeat the incoming monsters!
The "Home Base," which serves as the heroes' operational and military base, starts as a small town but grows as more heroes join. Players can expand military equipment, develop weapons, secure more troops, farm fields, grow businesses like souvenir shops and restaurants, create theaters and racetracks for residents' entertainment, and develop the town according to their wishes.
