The protagonist, Tamaki Kasuga, returns to her grandmother's rural village following her parents' overseas transfer.
Upon arrival, she begins seeing strange creatures that only she can perceive, leading to an encounter with a mysterious boy, Takuma Onizaki, who saves her.
Tamaki learns a dark secret from her grandmother: as a descendant of the Tamayoi bloodline, she is destined to seal the sword "Onizangiri Maru," which has the power to bring an end to the world.
The seal of the sword, which has been dormant for decades, begins to unravel, and it falls upon Tamaki to once again seal it away.
