December of the third year of Bunkyū――

Chizuru Yukimura visits Kyoto in search of her father and meets them at this time.
The feared swordsman group, the "Shinsengumi."
Her fate changes when she touches upon their secrets.

Confined at the Shinsengumi's headquarters, Chizuru spends her days worrying about her father's safety in a harsh environment.
For now, it seems she won't be killed immediately, but the eyes of those monitoring Chizuru are anything but gentle.

Sometimes they engage in friendly conversation or even smile at her.
