TAMIYA's "Grand Prix Collection" features the Renault RE-30B Turbo. The 1982 F1 Grand Prix car, known for its four wins and ten pole positions, is represented in this plastic model kit. The 1.5-liter V6 twin-turbo engine is depicted with ignition codes using vinyl pipes, and the turbo unit, intercooler, and various pipes are all finely detailed. The cockpit and front/rear suspensions are realistically rendered. The body panels are removable, allowing for engine observation after assembly. Metal tie rods are used for the front wheels, which can steer left and right. The front wheels are made of solid rubber, and the rear wheels are hollow rubber, providing a realistic finish. Includes a driver figure and slide marks for car body and driver’s helmet, featuring two types for Alain Prost and René Arnoux.
